Relax. I'm sure it's not the first sample of live Ebola to arrive in

the U.S. The military probably has barrels of the stuff.

I wouldn't want to be the pilot of that little jet spending hours and

hours with virulent hemorrhagic fever patients a thin layer of plastic

away.

The chances of this spreading from those two people is nil.

Ebola could be the masssive worldwide viral infection that I've always feared, a
mega-influenza. It could devastate big cities in Africa and Asia, in which case
it would soon show up all over the world. It would be unlikely to spread much in
developed countries.

There will likely be a vaccine in a few years.

That's the *only* reason they'd be brought here. They've never
studied Ebola in a living person. Wanna bet there are some
bio-warfare types in the tent?

Not likely, unless it goes airborne (as has been suspected for this
strain).

Fruit bats are one suspected carrier. There are other suspects.
Nobody really knows. Perhaps all the vectors live in tropical areas.

That was the other part of my point about it getting loose in "one of
the major industrial powers" - they do have the money and the
scientific establishment, and will suddenly have the reason.

Like Slowman, you insist on demonstrating your illiteracy. It would
be amazing, if it weren't you.

Go easy on him, he's doing the best he can!

A great deal better than you or krw can manage, but you don't know enough to realise this. It provides us some amusement from time to time, but not enough to make either of you anything like a net benefit to the group. As clowns you can manage the red nose and the falling over a lot, but comic timing eludes you.
