Hi,

I am looking for a supplier who can sell BH1417 in small quantity (<
10). Can someone help. Future-active does not sell less than 2000.
It's an FM stereo transmitter on a chip.

Also, is there any other alternative of BH1417 ?

Regards,
Yusuf

The BH1416 I believe might be similar but may not have all the same
features. You might find more info on alt.radio.pirate and at this
URL: http://members.tripod.com/~transmitters/
When you read the article, it mentions the New Japan Radio NJM2035
chip, which isn't a transmitter, since there is no RF oscillator, it's
just a stereo encoder. But it's simple to make an RF osc out of a few
transistors.

Regards,
Yusuf

The attraction of the BH1416/BH1417 is that they have on-chip frequency
synthesizers PLL'ed to a crystal (or a resonator) along with all the
other parts you'd want in a FM transmitter (including emphasis network).
That's a big step up from the usual LC-oscillator-that-if-you-
put-your-hand-near-it-it-shifts-frequency oscillator.
VFOs built by the average FM Tx fiend are not stable because they are
not properly built. With the proper construction and design, their
stability is comparable to an FM receiver.

Probably the only way to get your hands on a BH1416 or BH1417 is to buy
a commercial product that uses one and desolder it!
I found these pics of a Tx using the BH1417, at this URL

http://www.xie-gang.com/fm.htm

I enlarged the PC bd and found the URL for the company that apparently
makes the PC board. I found some Txes at the following URL, but
because the English is "less than optimal", (a lot less), I'm not sure
what they do or which is which. Just go to the main products page and
check out the others, and see if you can muddle thru and find a kit.

http://www.texin.net/c-c2ac2b-e.htm

I found another project or kit using the BH14xx. I'm not sure which,
because I couldn't find it in the English version.

I haven't bought anything from dckits, but their experimenter packages
look attractive.
