Sony KV27VX1MT picture red

Hello everyone,
Beside the obvious (burnt picture tube), is there anything else that could
have caused picture gone red (strong pink overtone) on Sony KV27VX1MT?
What would be the best way to determine whether something else did that? Are
there any other circuits responsible for maintaining color balance that may
have developed some problems?

Thanks.

Check the bias voltages to the crt, at the video outputs and drivers, and
from the video processor ic.

Art,
I'm not an electronics technician. Just wanted to know how likely the other
possibilities are, as replacing a picture tube is out of a question (too
costly). It is a multisystem TV and I also have a PAL camcorder so it will
be nice to keep it. I "inherited" it from my friend (basement item, you
know...).
Calling a tech to inspect may be unnecessary if tube dead. Is there any way
to check for the possibility that you have described? What I mean is that,
if there is a problem, usually it's accompanied by other issues as well.
Looking for a presence or absence of certain symptoms may confirm your
suspicion....
What is the quickest way, say, to eliminate the possibility of dead tube
thus reaffirming your suggestion (which I'm gonna follow anyway).
Thanks
