PSUs for telephone lines

Hi, I'm after a robust 50VDC power supply with floating output, and
wondered whether an 'old' telephone system PSU might do. What sort of
supplies are used to source the 50V system, will they deliver clean DC
without a battery bank? Is there a disposal source of them anywhere? TIA

Why not a SMPS?

Look at the Meanwell SMPS, prices are reasonable. Eg NES-15-48 A$14.60ea.
You'll have to trawl through and check for floating output & other specs
etc. They are good to deal with. (No relationship with them, just a past
customer)
