It comes from some time (too much) spent on an
advocacy group where threads get deep (in both
senses) and efforts to unclutter the history are met
with cries of deception, or worse. After the Nth
level of quoting is reached, and the "discourse"
goes thru newsreaders wrapping at 72 lines, my
choice is good for maybe N <= 9.

Of course, nothing like that could happen in this
perfectly rational forum with careful quoters. So,
maybe some wider lines are forthcoming. Is that Ok with you? <g>

Jim Thompson
Perhaps he expects/desires/demands to be quoted.

Perhaps he expects/desire/loves to generate threads that are extremely
long. Oh look he posts with outhouse express like me.

I tell you what, when you've got a long thread the indentation in the
subject window can make it a bit wide if you adjust it without using
the scroll bar. Then the message window gets a bit narrow.

If your wordwrap is set to a low value then your part of the message
doesn't get corrupted.

Strikes me as being a bit narcissistic.

At least you are able to adjust line breaks. I can adjust it all day
long and nothing will stick. No matter which newsreader. I guess it's
the ISP.

I'm sure they do.

What's an advocacy newsgroup? Is that where wordy people spout wordy
things open to wordy interpretation but otherwise meaningless?

Then you spend all your time blabbing on about who said what and what
it meant and the 'meat' gets lost in the blithering.

And part of that becomes the 'Hey, but look at my experience', 'I'm a
nice guy really', 'Let's be freinds' thing. Which turns into the 'Blah
blah blah blah blah blah Touche' thing.

It doesn't work that way here.

You appear to have become too used to that way of talking and
thinking. Open it up a bit, use some white space. Express yourself
with some clarity. Think before you type and don't blither.

People say 'Fuck You', they're not trying to score points. It's
bonhomie.

You probably blithered and got called for it.

So you go and add some more blither again but have to add 'social'
comment with some anecdote about the size of your penis cross
referenced to your original blither. If you didn't do so in the first
place.

All squidged up in 55 letters per line with a message that goes on and
on and on with less and less and less 'meat'.

Fuck Off!!!!

I don't care.

Sometimes you might actually have a point to make but it's just so
buried under so much shit that it's painful trying to extract it.

I'll drop a suggestion....... your a 'manager' aren't you?

Go on admit it. Or you want to be, or you think you are. You know a
bit and talk/type a lot but everything points towards you being a
'manager'.

Engineers don't like 'managers'.

OK, trying to be eloquent/meaningful is hurting my head. Just do me
one favour.......

Don't go through this post and deal with it point by point
interspersing your 55 character lines in the white space. It was not
placed there for that purpose.

You have a nice day now.

Hey Jim,
I was just thinking, when you throw your annual SED summer BBQ at your
place this year, if DNA comes I will also join you folks, if invited and pay
10% of DNA's travel expensive. If we can get more than 10 of us involved,
DNA can reap a profit and entertain the troops. I'm thinking, Win, Larry,
John, Sephro, Ken, Guy, Terry, you know, the usual suspects. Will your BBQ
be big enough?

Cheers,

My guess is that he is some kind of quasi-civil service scum-probably
DoD type with the claim to sonar background. This means the little
pseudo-intellectual and fraud is a total fabrication, and he starts to
give this away with his delusions of grandeur when it comes to his
contributions and achievements. I don't know about you, but my dealings
with solid state physicists showed me they have a bit more facility in
discussing complex phenomenon than just saying tunneling occurred, and
intrinsic concentration therefore decreased, and leakage was reduced-
with a bunch of vague allusions to 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc effects without
actually stating what those may be. Most quasi- civil service managers
are not real managers- those are only titles- these parasites in the
civil service are used to fabricate presentations for DC based funding
sponsors, put on airs of sophistication, and present some distorted
picture of how the subcontractors are doing. Anyway- that is my take on
it- the only way to explain how the obvious fraud and reject Brasfield
even exists- no way in hell would a pompous and obvious narcissist like
him survive in a productive work environment- and if he does have any
degree beyond "bs"- it is most likely fake.

Has set his wordwrap at about 55 or less. What's that all about

then?

It comes from some time (too much) spent on an
advocacy group where threads get deep (in both
senses) and efforts to unclutter the history are met
with cries of deception, or worse. After the Nth
level of quoting is reached, and the "discourse"
goes thru newsreaders wrapping at 72 lines, my
choice is good for maybe N <= 9.

Of course, nothing like that could happen in this
perfectly rational forum with careful quoters. So,
maybe some wider lines are forthcoming. Is that Ok with you? <g

It has now become obvious that pseudo-intellectual trash (PIT),
Brasfield, has become a true to disruption to the NG. In addition to
posting a bunch of indecipherable gibberish full of misinformation,
malformed opinions, and shamelessly fabricated anecdotes attesting to
his prowess, the worthless, low life, and incompetent has also taken to
sending private emails to OPs slandering regular SED contributors. This
is a form of cancer and the only way to deal with it is let the
loud-mouthed fraud publicly answer the OP and then slam the retard
straight to hell on every single bit of his bullsh_t. This is not hard
to do- he is the most worthless piss-ant joke to hit SED in years.

Bwahahahahahaha! DNA/Genome, I think you hit the nail dead on the
head... manager meat for sure ;-)

Hey Jim,
I was just thinking, when you throw your annual SED summer BBQ at your
place this year, if DNA comes I will also join you folks, if invited and pay
10% of DNA's travel expensive. If we can get more than 10 of us involved,
DNA can reap a profit and entertain the troops. I'm thinking, Win, Larry,
John, Sephro, Ken, Guy, Terry, you know, the usual suspects. Will your BBQ
be big enough?

Cheers,
Harry
Big enough? Absolutely! Just my family, spouses, grandchildren, and
in-laws number over 25, when we do Thanksgiving/Christams, etc.

But last time I extended said invite, only Spehro et ux showed up.
Great couple! I think Spehro and I have met up three different times
now.

Summer I don't recommend... way too hot for the unpracticed.

It's way too late to do Spring, so how about next Fall sometime, like
mid-late October to ensure < 100°F.

We need to invite some of the fookin' amateurs/village-idiots too, so
I can have some foon... sit them down in front of a simulator and let
them makes asses of themselves ;-)
