Hi. I am repairing a ktx monitor and I require the HOP tx can any one help
me to
locate this component. Thank you.
Regards Max.

how about some model numbers and numbers off the flyback? you expect an
accurate answer whilst supplying only the vaguest of details?

KTX = edge computer = out of business years ago = no support.

monitronics, thomas displays, WES and others may be able to source flybacks
for them, howeve, they are usually too expensive to make the repair
worthwhile.

The part you need to replace is not hard to miss,
it will have a big thick cable going up to a sucktion cup on the top of
the picture tube.

transistor???

Sorry I mis read that,

The part you need to replace is near the FBT, it will be mounted on the
heatstink, the collector if it is a TO3 package will go to the FBT
winding next to it,
