So did you test your calipers?

And did you find out you were right or wrong?

there is one that's not copper. No idea what it is at this point.

Some telco-style wire is seven strands-four of copper, three of stainless steel;
there's also steel-core copper-exterior, but that's usually not tenth-millimeter
size. The central wire of RG-59 (CATV cable) is magnetic but copper on the
outer surface.

OK I got a chance to look at it again. I think it's just tinned copper. It has extremely thin insulation that made it look like some other metal with a satin finish. Not CCA, CCS or any mystery form of resistance wire.

I do not need to, idiot. The battery has lasted a year already and I

The steel cored coax is magnetic. Try sticking a magnet to it.

Cry me a river, putz.. Like I said, I was using $25k spectrum
analyzers and $18k Anritsu NSAs today, I don't have time to perform a
power utilization test on a fucking vernier caliper for a presumptuous
putz like you.

Nice try, idiot. Look at the thread. It looks to me like you are the
only one writing in all caps in it. Seems I must have hit on a nerve.
Must have been all those 'sailors' I pegged you for sucking off while
you were refraining from cussing.

I won't give you or your pathetic presumptions a single thought
tomorrow as I go out and perform a field test on my antennas.
I will be thinking more about the SBIR I will be getting to develop my
product using them. Nice try though.

The phone company ran a temporary wire to my house (many years ago)
which was some sort of fairly springy steel. They just laid it on the
ground until they came back to dig a copper wire in the ground... a year
later. They had to come out two or three times to fix the wire on top
of the ground when the rain got into it and it got a big time hum.

When they buried the new wire they left the steel one laying there
rolled up, so I found some uses for it. Mostly mechanical. I don't
have a phone in that house now. I wonder if I can pull the copper wire
out of the ground and use it... lol
