Absolutely, but pretty much damned either way, as usual.
What's essential is to get the dicks like Stephen Conroy and Steve Fielding
booted out.
But then, most politicians are dicks really. Can we vote for monkeys
instead?

Bring on the election.
"There has been some preliminary discussions with the Attorney-General's
Department about a proposal for a data retention regime in Australia,
but I think those discussions are at a very early stage," Coroneos said.
He said the IIA hadn't "seen any firm proposals yet from the government".

"It's more along the lines of [the Attorney-General's Department asking]
'What do you see the issues of being if we were to move to a position
similar to the EU'," he said.

Sounds like a beatup to me, and as for John Linton, he is a total
areshole anyway.

I really think it's deeper than that. Remember Michael Atkinson? The
single person who was holding back the R18 games rating? Remember the
singing in the streets when he resigned, in that there was "nothing"
holding back the game R18 rating from being implemented?

Well, were is it?

It's all bullshit. All the others voted it in, making themselves look
good, but KNOWING it was doomed to failure because Atkinson was going to
vote against anyway.

Well, he's gone, and nothing's changed.

As the old saying goes, how do you know [insert whoever here] is lying?
Their lips are moving.

Makes little difference, as long as their lips are moving...
