Electronics magazines...

I know this question gets asked periodically. Well, my time has come. I
think it\'s time to divest myself of my electronics magazine collection.
It is substantial. Roughly:

* Every issue of Electronics Australia, from around 1971-ish to when
they folded.
* Every issue of ETI (Australia).
* Every issue of Silicon Chip.
* Many issues of Wireless World from 1972 ~ 1990-ish. Ads have have been
removed, since WW thoughtfully placed ads at the front and back.
* Many Elektor issues.
* Some US mags.
* Some Pommy mages (Practical Wireless, etc.).

Most are in good condition. All are readable. Very few marks.

Thoughts? Offers?

If you don\'t get any cash-money offers, have you considered contacting
local/state library\'s??

They keep/store this type of Reference material, don\'t they??

Not from what I\'ve seen.
If it isn\'t borrowed regularly, it get chucked.
The excuse is they don\'t have the space.

Some of them are worth significant money on ebay, at least overseas,
though perhaps not here bearing in mind postage costs. I paid quite a
lot to acquire my collection of Wireless World a few at a time on ebay,
though subsequently I was offered a complete set for not much.

I don\'t know whether there are any makerspaces/hackerspaces near you
with enough space but it might be worth a try.

You could ask on the eevblog forum, if you haven\'t already.

In Canberra there is a regular book fair run by Lifeline. Whether they
would actually manage to sell them I don\'t know but they would take them
and try, and that could be preferable to definitely chucking them if it
came to that.

Impressive collection. But I think you\'d be at it a very long time
trying to get something like $1/mag for them all, unless you got
lucky. From what I\'ve seen large lots are hard to sell, though it
probably depends on how good the location is for pick-ups.

I buy small lots when they\'re around $1 each or less, but only when
they\'re within easy pick-up range (which you\'re definately not).
Plus I\'ve probably got enough for the moment anyway.
