Does anybody know where I can find a circuit to build a phone dialer for my
home alarm?

Cheers

Mitel do some very useful chips... check out the 88xx series of DTMF
transcievers. They are really easy to interface to.

I used the 8888 & later the 8885 in a call router controlled by a PIC

worked absolutely brilliantly.

You would need a 600R 1:1 matching transformer and a small relay in series
across the telephone line to provide the loop and carry audio.

Radio Shack sells one for $100.00. Never waste time building what you
can buy off the shelf for a tolerable price.

On the other hand, I'm prototyping a DSP for a pro audio system but then
we will be selling 100 a month of them. if not more.
