akai tv

Hi I have an akai tv, CTK147, (its really old), but was a goodie
once. There is no sound and no picture. Has anyone ever had a go at
fixing one of these models(or even any akai?). I am guessing the power
supply. Help appreciated.

It's a bit late for a Christmas present to Blind Freddie

God you really must be desperate.

Take it to the tip, and wave goodbye as the crusher passes over it. or
consider a curb side clean up,
preferably someone else's, and take it for a walk one dark night, and come
home without it.

Assuming the semis are OK, replace the small electrolytic caps in the
power supply. Note that B+ on this chassis is 125V.
