AC line antenna problem

I have an old shortwave radio (Candle JM210). There is two antenna broken on
it. If I look at the schematics, I must plug each antenna on the same wire
of the AC line with a resistor of 4.7M between the antenna and the line. The
AC cord is not polarized, so I think that it may be dangerous to have the
120V on the antenna. I don't know if it was a normal procedure or if it was
a schematics error.
