Who made Wards' Signature TVs?

We recently acquired a Signature 2000 tv set without a remote control.
I want to access the menu to turn on the closed captions (I'm hearing
impaired).

I tried an RCA "universal" remote control programmed to the Signature
code and was able to change channels and even access the menu, but
couldn't make changes in the menu settings.

I thought that if I could find out who made the set I could try the
code(s) for their sets.

The model is JSJ12019 and the set was manufactured in May 1994.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

LenS:
SHARP made the television for Monkey Ward. In order to operate all of the
remote controlled functions including Menu selections and functions you will
be better off with the FACTORY remote.

Can't you get to the menu from the front of the tv set itself?

<Sigh>

I just got around to trying this, and you're absolutely right. There's
a button labeled "Settings" on the front of the set. This brings up
the menu from which selections are made by use of the Vol + and Vol-
buttons.

Thanks!

If memory serves me, Montgomery Ward had their TVs and even VCRs manufactured
by Sharp. - Reinhart
