I'm a hobbyist who collects coin operated items. Any condition working or
not. Some interests include pinball, jukebox, arcade cranes, basically
anything that might have been in an arcade or carnival etc... I will respond
quickly and pay fair prices even if the item is broken. I can always use
parts. Located near Columbus Ohio but willing to travel.

I suppose this would include old-style 110/220V fuse boxes. :)

I have an old arcade machine "Rip Off" in semi-working condition. Last time
it was powered up, the display was squashed as if the vertical deflection
needed adjustment or something. Also one of the 2 coin acceptor mechansim
is missing but it should be easily replaced. Finally there seems to be a
grounding problem with the front coin door, when it opeens while the
machine's on sometime I'd hear loud squaking noise from the speaker.
Original manual is also included.

Asking $100 for it. I'm located near Flint, MI. I've tried to sell this
one for a year but have had a few buyers who dropped off the face of the
earth.

The squashed display isn't an adjustment, it's a fault, still if the game
runs it shouldn't be too hard to repair, Rip Off is a fairly rare game, I'm
surprised you haven't found a taker, I suppose it has a rather niche market.

Try ebay there you will find more than you need .
I've tried, twice. First time, the bidder ended up suspended for 3 NPB's
and the second time, the bidder left me a negative for filing NPB on him.
I've tried the rec.games.vicdo.classic.* area and I've had a few interested
but they never followed up with plan for meeting or pickup.

I am tempted to dismantle the arcade and donate the gut remains to a local
landfill, keeping the cab for MAME setup. It may be a fairly rare machine
but it's not exactly a popular or desireable game.

Ack, no don't MAME it, it's worth more intact. Try posting to
rec.games.video.arcade.collecting, that's where the bulk of the collectors
are, there's a .marketplace group as well but with less traffic. I've never
even heard of the group you mentioned.
