Contributions to increasing GDP in every direction.

Yes. Destroying things is good for everyone.

False.

It just increases market volume, no help whatever against greenhouse
gas pollution, or a pandemic, and in war, certainly not \'for everyone\'.

Volta build many free chargers in malls and supermarkets parking lots.
Greenlots (Shell) build some public chargers in remote areas.
Most of them works without activation, but some require an app to activate.
Volta and Greenlots apps appear to be running the same code base.
Most main stream apps compile with minimum Android SDK.
For some reason, Volta/Greenlots compile with SDK 7 and my phones and tablets won\'t work.
Android emulator works better under Linux, but my K6 and Atom laptops don\'t have VT/VM.
So, i need Window 10 i5 to run the apps under the emulator.
However, even 2C4T 2.4GHz with 8G RAM is sluggish for the emulator.
For the upside, keyboard works better than the onscreen one.
For the downside, mouse events are unresponsive and unreliable.
The overall app is hit and miss unreliable under emulator.
Also post this in Volta review site.
I can walk into any gas station and use any credit card, or just hand
them a $20 bill, and be out in 5 minutes, barely enough time to
squeegee the windows.
Yes, i know. They think every EV drivers are computer experts. EVs are just computers on wheels.
Hopefully, oneday, charging stations would be upgraded (downgraded) to be as convenient as gas stations.
All the above complicated procedures are needed just to push a button.
What happens if you plan a trip and arrive at some critical charging
station and some app doesn\'t compile?

How many miles and hours will you spend to get free charging?

1 or 2 miles usually. 3 top.
Greenlots are not free, but sometimes the only game in remote area.
San Fran is perfect during the pandemic, but i wouldn\'t want to live here otherwise.
Volta HQ is close to my temp. apt. and Foodsco; so, i top off my e-tank on the way.
I also fill-up before and after business hours, at the employee lot.
They usually have 8 empty employee spaces and 4 full public spaces.
I can find things to do during charging, like writing this memo, remodeling the Leaf, or taking a nap.
I have a skinless (no case) K6 (i5 soon for VT/VM) in the Leaf, disguising enough to be stolen.
The K6/i5 will be running off the 400V aux. battery.
Burgers beware: don\'t touch the orange wire. Or don\'t touch anything at all.

A couple of people on my block run extension cords from their garages
across the sidewalk to their parked cars. Makes walking at night
interesting.

It\'s a Windoz bug. In Linux, Android Emulator works better than a real phone, with a real keyboard. The only problem is that there is no real gps. I have to read from usb gps or scan from local wifi signals and push it into the emulator. Since i am only interested in a few fixed locations, wifi mapping should not be too difficult. I will work on the codes while charging the Leaf.

I am running Linux from an external usb drive. The only reason i am keeping Window 10 in this laptop is for youtube movies. For some reason, free with ads youtube does not work under Linux.

Android installation in Linux was not as smooth. It should have warned me that i was not root. I did not sudo the first time; so some files were not setup property. Eventually, i will reinstall native linux and run windoz in VirtualBox.
