Has anyone any experience or coments regard the TopMax chip/eprom
programmer? I am new to the hobby and am looking or a good model that
supports M27C160 (42 pin) chips.

No direct experience (I use Data I/O equipment). However, EETools
seems to have a pretty good reputation. I would say check with them to
make sure your device is supported, look at the feature set, and make
your decision.

Keep the peace(es).

I had one (maybe it was a "ChipMax", don't remember) a few years ago.
I threw it away. What a hunk of junk. I replaced it with a BP
Microsystems 1200 programmer. BP-Micro stuff is top notch, but you're
going to pay through the nose for it.
