hey all--

i have a 4 digit LED which has three pins broken off, as well as a
68HC11 board which has a transistor that broke off. in both cases, the
leads severed right at the edge of the package, so there's no wire
sticking out to reattach to. i can't figure out how i would solder it
back together, i'm guessing its impossible.

i've seen/heard of some solder alternatives, like adhesives that are
very conductive. can anybody comment on the appropriateness of these to
my situation and/or recommend a good brand to buy.

any and all help is much appreciated,
mark

--------------
Replace the transistor, but the LED display can be resoldered by
cutting into the plastic around the lead and soldering, or replace
with 4 separate digits, or fish another one out of a used clock or
somesuch.
