Relay for switching off an ethernet switch

Hi there,

I'm looking for a relay that could be used to switch off 2 pairs of
UTP (10baseT/100baseT) to protect an ethernet switch.
The relay should disconnect at least 2 pairs (preferably 8-16) and
insert low loss in the lines. It could also be a, let's say,
"servomotor-driven-N-pin-connector". Does such thing even exist?

Well, I know this sounds strange, but I have lost some ethernet
switches during summer thunderstorms. I should use shielded and grounded
TP but in _this_ particular situation I don't have this option. BTW I
know about APC Netprotectors - they are not what I want.

Greets,
Paul
