Many of you who knew Peter Crowcroft willl probably have been aware
that he has been battling cancer for many years. He lost that battle
on Monday June 13, 2005 in Melbourne, Australia.

Peter was owner of DIY electronics (hobbyist kit makers) and had lived
in Hong Kong for many years (in the electronics mecca of Sham Shui
Po). Truly a wonderful lifestyle and he was a most interesting and
colorful fellow.

The company is expected to continue operations.

Best regards,

That is most tragic- his company produced excellent products.

Peter will be missed, I think he is one of the best!

He sent me some MK484 single chip AM receiver IC's direct to my door
in the US, no charge and no commitment asked for. The chips are much
more available these days, but at the time, they were scarce in the
US......even though JRC made millions of them (for non US market).

I wish his family could read some of the nice things people are
writing about him. He was a truely outstanding individual.

Hello Mebart,

I wish his family could read some of the nice things people are
writing about him. He was a truely outstanding individual.
Write a card to his family, I bet you could also send it to the company
and it'll get there. This means a lot to a grieving family.

Regards, Joerg

I know the guy, have ordered from him in the past. I had no idea he was so
famous, really. Sorry to see him go.

According to Don McKenzie, here are the arrangements:

-------------
A funeral service will be held next Tuesday, June 21st, at 1.00pm, at

Cabrini Hospital Chapel
183 Wattletree Road
Malvern, 3144
Melbourne, Australia
-------------

Joerg's idea of sending a card to the company is a good one.

DIY Electronics (HK) Ltd.
PO Box 88458, Sham Shui Po
Hong Kong, China

I have never met him in person, but I sell his hits and I liked the
way he did his business.
