Panasonic Focusing

I have a Panasonic TX 21 which keeps going out of focus. If I reduce
the brightness, it will focus, but then it is unwatchable. The tube
makes a rattling noise as it tries to focus the picture.
 
which tx21..... there a a few tx21 the letters behind tx21 would be
interesting....

hmm sorry no shema for the md4 chassis, but i there something wrong with the
dynamic focus or the lopt itself.....

sorry but no detail info on thata chassis

All I can tell you is that if the picture onscreen is not too bright
the picture is focused. If there is predominantly bright pictures,
then the focus will go. As I said, the tube makes a rattling noise as
it tries to focus picture. It was not a sudden problem, but has been
getting progressively worse over the last few months.
 
I am not a tv repair man, but if it is easy to fix for me, i am quite
technically minded.
