Need help with aCD4059A "Divide-By-N" chip

Guest
I need help setting up this to an N factor of 1000. I am trying to lay this
chip out on a PCB. I have the manufacturer data sheets, but I don't
understand them.

Any help would be great.

Never used the part myself but it doesn't look too hard....

This looks like one way...

N=One Thousand
choose Mode=10 (eg Ka=1, Kb=1,Kc=0)

N/Mode=One Hundred so try with

J4-J1=0

J8-J5=0
J12-J9=0
J16-J13=1 (eg 0x0001)

To verify

N= 10 x (1000x0 + 100x1 + 10x0 + 1x0) + 0
= 10 x (0+100+0+0) +0
= 10 x 100
= 1000

Sorry if I've mixed up my indians :)
