** Efficiency was never the issue with adapters.

Standby consumption was the loony excuse used, a complete non issue.

Halogen lamps are only a tiny bit more efficient than regular
incandescent and were not banned - proving the whole idea was a
fucking scam.

Fuck you Trevor Wilson.

The point at which the toaster mauler realises he has lost this
argument...

** How ever did you get that mad idea  ?

TW is one of THE  most notorious trolls in Australia, way above
pathetic fools like you.

I know him personally and know lots of his associates too.

There is NO NEED EVER to play be fair with TROLLs.

Co they never do.

Fuck you.

Is it the full moon already?

I suspect he's run out of meds as well.

I preferred it when he was in the asylum for a month. Since he's been
out again he's even more detached from reality.

I once had a manager who was a lunatic in the original sense of the
word. When I joined the section, one of the guys warned me to keep
interactions with the boss to a minimum during the full moon. I was a
bit incredulous about this but the guy got progressively more irritable
as the full moon approached, returning to his usual self afterward. In
the 12 months that I worked there, there was 100% correlation.

My other half works a few hours on a friday night for PCYC every
fortnight and she said the same thing. When there is a full moon the
kids were feral.

** FFS Look up the meanings of the two words in science.

I am a swearing you for stubbornly refusing to do that !!!

**I KNOW what a scientific theory is. I know what an hypothesis is.

** Right now, you do fucking not.

Why not post your idea of the difference.

I am happy to correct your misconceptions in detail, as it will benefit others.

LOL, yeah right. Stick to molesting toasters Phallison.

Buy YOU are beyond any kind of help.

BTW:

I'm quite certain you have an untreatable mental illness.

One you have had all your life.

I have an exercise bike which relies on power to provide resistance and
to operate the LCD display.

I have lost the power cable.

Next to the socket on the bike it says 6V 500mA.

If I buy this will it be OK?

I note that the product does not specify what the Amps are.

Coming in really late to this discussion, whilst I tend towards the
*FACT* that we *ARE* contributing towards AGW, I am also willing to
accept that we may not be contributing to AGW, but it seems that Global
Warning *IS* happening and, if it continues to happen, Planet EARTH may
be uninhabitable for we human beings, in the current manner.

So, whatever the cause, shouldn't we be trying to stop it or, at the
very least, reduce its rate of effect to keep Planet EARTH habitable as
long as possible .... giving us time to adjust to it as much as possible
..... or time to go elsewhere??

What that posting meant to go somewhere else?

Coming in really late to this discussion,

And you appear to have posted it to the wrong discussion.

whilst I tend towards the *FACT* that we *ARE* contributing towards AGW, I

But the problem with the second bit is that has
certainly happened before and we survived that fine.

and, if it continues to happen, Planet EARTH may be uninhabitable for we
human beings, in the current manner.

That can’t fly given that no one is predicting that it will
rise to temps which arent inhabitable by human being.

> So, whatever the cause, shouldn't we be trying to stop it

Not even possible if it isnt actually due to AGW.

> or, at the very least, reduce its rate of effect

Ditto

And if it isnt due to AGW, you don’t know that
it wont fix itself like it has done in the past either.

And if it is actually due to AGW and atmospheric CO2
levels which have certainly increased very substantially
since say the industrial revolution, the obvious way to do
something about that is to use nukes for power generation.

to keep Planet EARTH habitable as long as possible .... giving us time to
adjust to it as much as possible

We have clearly had plenty of time to adjust to the rise
in temps seen since the Thames used to freeze over.

> .... or time to go elsewhere??

We clearly had plenty of time to do that with the setting up
of the USA etc largely by those from europe etc.
