JVC Bigscreen keeps turning off and on

My 35" JVC monitor (about 9 yo) has developed the behavior of
intermittently turning off and then a minute or two later, turning
itself back on. When this happens it has all the appearances of having
been shut off with the LED power button on the front of the console
and the same for when it comes back on. No...I don't have poltergeists
in my home so don't go there. :)

Is this monitor worth investing some repair dollars in? Or should I
consign it to the junkyard? The tube is fine and the inputs all work.

Check the board for dry joints.

The answer to your question is very simple , if before you had this
trouble
the TV was Ok and you were happy with its performance then call in a TV
repair man and get a estimate of costs then YOU make the descision ,
we cant make it for you.

Get it fixed, you said the pic was fine before it started acting up, it'd be
a shame to let this easily repairable set end up in a landfill.
