Like it says.....

I should still go back and check what I've done and tidy up a bit. A
summary page might prove useful as well.

That's it for now

Have fun

You got a lot done since the last time I checked. Two categories in
two days by my count. Nice site. Wassat, 3 more categories under
"Controlling Things" pending?

2 suggestions...

I like the way you go from the main page to the tbl of contents with
a new window, but I think a 3rd window is a bit much.

You can download IrfanView for free at www.tucows.com ... Open your
"Go" link image and do Image | Effects | 3D Button. That will bevel
the edges of the buttons and make them stand out. You might need
more space around the edges but if you have a regular image editor,
just resize canvas and set the offsets to keep the old image
centered and color in the empty space.

If you're a true masochist, emboss the image and do a gaussian blur
:) Actually, it's pretty easy. I just had a hard time doing a single
quadrant of an ellipse with a metallic gradient and a "real" 3D
effect. You have to mask an ellipse with a rect and I never did
really get masks down 100%.

See ya

I, kind of, like the way it works at the moment. It's a case of keeping
the home page up so people have access to the links to software,
especially LTspice. I want to keep the contents page up so people don't
have to keep reopening it. That's where the counter is. I don't think
three windows at one time is too bad.

I've got a copy of irfan already...... watch this space.

Cheers

Excellent! You could put those LTspice and other links on the
contents page. Maybe on a small side bar where they won't be off the
viewable client area (ie bottom of page)

Similar forum running at eegeeks.org (uses phpBB) Lots of views of
the few posts and few responses - 64 views of my "flashing LED" scam
( borderline troll? :) ) in the analog forum and only 1 response. no
responses to my ASM post.

You can probably ask the webmaster for help/suggestions if you need
it. I'd suggest a link exchange with him.
