As the Macservice Group is most likely a GST reporting entity they have to
add the GST to Australian sales - it's the law. They do say so in their
eBay auctions so there is nothing unfair about that.

including GST in advertised pricing as well. I will admit it says
that it considers it "best practice" under australian law so whether
that makes it actually "illegal", or just "not the recommended way,
but not illegal" I don't really know.
If you have anything to complain about it would be the high cost of
freight
and they use TNT for stuff that is small and light enough to be sent via
Australia Post at a fraction of the cost.

Unless you are in one of the very few industries that can purchase
items GST exempt, (I think medical and education are 2 of them) or
advertising products directly to that market, there isn't any reason
not to include it, as its part of the price that will be paid when the
item is purchased. it can't be avoided by the buyer and pretty much
everyone in Australia has to pay it when they buy the item, so it
should be shown as part of the price.
I agree with you on the excessive freight cost too. In many cases the
postal system is the most economical, definitely the case if the item
isnt needed urgently overnight.
