This is not addressed to Jim "US Citizens Only" Thompson but since I'm being
labelled as a mental case not once but twice I would like to elaborate a
little for the sake of my friend/s whose continuing respect and affection I
value greatly.
The first thing to point out that Jim isn't responding not because he had
something to say but because in spite of his great technical abilities, and
there is no doubt about it Jim is one smart cookie in the field of
electronic design and no one can take that away from him, he has
nevertheless, like every one of the other six billion or so humans on planet
earth, limitations even like someone like me who can range far and wide in a
whole range of subjects other than in my field of specialty-Experimental
Physics.
I detect Jim "US Citizens Only" Thompson has a sense of humour when he wrote
above "PLONK, permanent" and this inspires me so that all is not lost. Given
that four of the happiest hours I enjoy each week are spent watching edited
versions of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brien
for two hours each Saturday night on www.cnbceurope.com I too have a sense
of humour so Jim "US Citizens Only" Thompson we have something in common
even if you find may find this quite disturbing now that you believe I have
a serious mental illness!
You are happy to reveal your whereabouts in your signature but don't fret
I'm not about to travel to Phoenix and knife you to death while you are
enjoying a refreshing night's sleep perhaps dreaming about happy things like
knowing that the economy and general welfare of the people of California
are in the safe hands of a body builder.
Can I just now clarify one or two things?
I couldn't figure out the connection between writing:
The people who have the greatest difficulty handling disgust are what
Americans call white trash a type that is to found in every part of society
and in every country and not just in trailer parks and so on. Disgust is the
driving emotion of the KKK for example. These people are extremely
dangerous. Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of these people and he is running
the fifth largest economy in the world!
and having "shit for brains" and was forced into the rather uncomfortable
position of having to ponder this mystery.
The single idea that occurred to me was that Jim "US Citizens Only" Thompson
may figure I'm one of these crazy conspiracy theorists(what irony!) that
Schwarzenegger is actually a member of the KKK or perhaps some other white
supremacist group. This is not the case. I never suggested that
Schwarzenegger is a member of the KKK or any other bunch of fruitcakes who
may be wandering around the forests of Michigan dressed up in camoflauge
planning to overthrow the federal government. I wish someone however would
try to talk to these guys instead of killing them when things get a little
too tense. Timothy McVeigh visited the place where such a killing took place
and the consequences of the rage he felt were terrible indeed.
However I want to point out in the strongest terms that people in the KKK
and the vast numbers of other people who orbit round the the hardcore of the
KKK would be inspired by the nonsensical ranting of Schwarzenegger and
relate not to what that scumbag is actually saying but to the emotion in his
voice that can be either love or hate depending on whether it's 12:05 or
12:06 implying that these people emotions slosh back and forth so wildly
that chaos and destruction are inevitable.
I became interested in Schwarzenegger some time ago but I can't remember
what triggered the interest. Then at around the time he was campaigning for
the governorship of California I heard about a programme that would be shown
on Channel 4 in the UK(UK terrestrial TV) about Schwarzenegger's life and I
tuned with, as the cliche goes, "eager anticipation".
He spent a few years in the UK and he described the following to camera. On
the night before a body building contest having identified a fellow
contestant as a threat to his winning the contest he would book a hotel room
and invite the contestant he felt threatened to stay with him in his room.
He then went on to say that he would break the contestant psychologically
and go on to win the competition. This tells me all I needed to know about
Schwarzenegger and if he got the chance he would wreak havoc in the State of
California. To be sure he will never get this chance, ever, but I'm saying
if he got the chance he would do so.
Finally I tune in to The McLaughlin Group http://www.mclaughlin.com/ from
time to time on www.cnbceurope.com . On one show the panel that includes the
beautiful and intelligent Eleanor Clift of Newsweek described Schwarzenegger
as someone without "an honest bone in his body" and so Jim "US Citizens
Only" Thompson if you have been able to cope with the fear of reading the
writing of a "mental case" my advice to you is to contact Eleanor in the
hope that she might be able to help straighten out your thinking.
My PC crashed earlier and I lost alot of stuff I'd written. I want to
continue but I feel tired.
