Hi there

I have a bunch of 2N6259 power transistors that I would like to
sell. Would any here be interested in some of them. I also have
(2N4348, 2N5240). I don't know what they are worth. What would be a
fair price to you guys. I am thinking like $5 each. They are used
but look to be in good shape. I bought a old tear down house and
there was boxes of them in it. (WoW) The owner was dead, he worked
as a electronic repair man and had saved them from something. I also
have some large stuff, doides, darlingtons(2-3transistors in one
package), 1000v-2000v 100a-600a. I will sell these cheep if you want
to do some power switching.

Well thanks for you time, and thanks for letting my put this add
here.

I use them in a supply we make, but we only pay three bucks and change.

Thanks for the help on the price. It looks like it is time for a %50
off sale:). Like i sayd i don't know that they are worth. How does
$2.50 each sound??? Would that be a fair price??? Would any one know
where I would find someone that is interested in 100-200 amp diodes
and 400-600amp darlingtons??

Well thanks for your time and help.

David,

I wish you well selling them. Most won't buy transistors that are of
"unknown" condition. Also, untested pullouts have little if any value.
There is usually a reason they are pulled out. Might I suggest you find a
surplus electronics place that buys inventor and see what they would give
you for them. Don't expect more then about 10 cents apiece at best. But
they may buy the whole thing from you.

The diodes and darlingtons might do better, but again, you need to know the
condition of them to get fair value. If you look at it from the buyer's
side, if he pays you $1.00 and the device is bad, he wasted a dollar.

Good luck.

OK.. that makes much more sense! I used to run a surplus electronics store
so that is why I said what I did, since I didn't understand that they were
tested.

I would say if you tested them you should be able to get about a buck and a
quarter a piece for them. That is how much the surplus store here sells
them for... I can't use used parts, tested or not, in new products or I
might be interested.

As far as the diodes and darlingtons go, you might try Ebay.

I think I should have been a little clearer. I have tested about 100
of the transistors. (curved them, tested with a load) and they all
tested the same. And I will test befor I ship, I would not sell
something that i didn't know if it worked or not. As for the diodes,
and derlingtons. I was on a job, and they were throughing away some
equipment (that was running, and working, and about 4 yrs old) and I
looked in it and it was full of them so I striped them out, I use a
couple of the diodes on my welder, but I have a bucket full of them,
and they were all working when I took them out.
