anyone have a website for this topic...im looking for an article
discussing direct short and ground faults. their causes and how they
can be corrested, ground fault protective equipment and use of bonding
jumper...i have a report about this...

GFCIs and circuit breakers (sometimes combined) protect against ground
faults and shorts. Also, AFCIs are now available to prevent fires when a
fault will not trip an ordinary breaker. There is a wealth of information
out there on these topics. NFPA publishes the NEC and those are both good
sources for more information.
