I wish to make an electric deterrent ie. two bits of wire on a
capacitor connected to a battery, when a cat touches the wire they get
a little shock and scares them away so not crapping on my lawn, can
any one suggest what type of capacitor I will need ??
Thanks

(looking forward to a clean lawn)

There would be a lot more involved in this project than just a specific
capacitor two bits of wire and a battery.
Try looking up schematics for electric cattle fences.
Or get yourself a DOG!

Hook up a motion sensing detector to a sprinkler. The heat from the
cat's body will turn on the sprinkler and give it a bath.
