Capacitor delay question

Hello everyone,

I am powering up sets of relays with a 2803 darlington array. The relay is:

Zettler AZ821 it is a 5 volt coil and draws 250mw.

My question is if I place a 47uf electrolytic parallel with the relay will it
cause a slight delay in the relay coming on? This is what I want to happen. I
am switching between two lines and want there to be a small amount of time
between one coming on and the other off.

TIA

It will delay the turn off of the relay a little bit, but will have
little effect on the turn on time. You may need to use two
darlingtons to drive the two relays, and put the cap on the input side
of the darlington you want to delay.
