Apols for a bit OT but the music groups are non-technical.
I have a 300W bass amplifier which works just fine. The other day I wondered
what the sound would be like if I tried my 6 string (ie "normal") electric
guitar through it. I expected a rather noticable cut-off somewhere after low E.
I was just amazed that the amplifer proved to be a very usable beast way up into
the high octaves of the guitar! My concern though is, is this likely to damage
either the amplifier and/or the speaker (a 15" 300W Trace Elliot)?

ps Just how a speaker with such a large cone mass could produce such a bright
sound at "High" frequencies amazes me.
