Greetings:

I guess there's a first for everything! I just repaired a Daewoo
model DMV-20F6M (chassis CH-140), and after putting it back
together (a VCR problem), I noticed I couldn't set the tuner for
CATV?

No menu selection, or CATV/off-air switch on the back. Does anyone
know if this unit can be set for CATV?

I've got the original remote, and there is NO button to
change from CATV to Off-Air. In the setup menu, the only
item that deals with channels is the "auto scan", which goes
through all the channels (off air) and then stops. I thought
maybe it would scan through off-air first, then auto switch
to CATV, but no luck.

Very puzzling.

The owner picked it up, and said it's been this way since he
bought it, so at least it wasn't something I did :)

Thanks Daniel.

Maybe it is older than you think and it is not cable ready??...
..... do a google group archive search with the Daewoo MODEL NUMBER and see
what you can find out.
