Anyone have a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville schematic? I'd really appreciate a
pinout (wiring color, connector letters, and function description) for the
power mirror control switch. Local dealer is not cooperative.

Maybe time to purchase the complete shop manuals for your car?? Helm
Bindery in Detroit used to sell automotive service literature, maybe you
could contact them regarding cost and availability for your vehicle.

Problem is, I don't own the vehicle...I'm installing a set of mirrors from one
on my truck. To date, it makes no economic sense to buy even the schematic
package just for the switch pinout. (I have a complete set of factory manuals
on all the vehicles I own. Have always done this.)

Go to the Reference section of your public library.
In R629.*** find the Mitchell manual for your year and model.

A really great library even has copies they let out of the building
(629.*** with no "R").

Did all those checks (dealers, public librarys, local vocational school
library, w3 searches, etc. befor ever asking the question here. BTW: No such
thing as a "Mitchell" manual in this town's library system. "Haynes",
"Chilton", and factory (via Helm, inc) only.

Anyway, solved the problem...found a sympathetic soul at one of the Pontiac
dealers during lunch hour. Despite the shop manual's description of the wiring
color code not matching the wires coming out of the switch...even though the
part number on the switch did match...I was able to figure out the correct
arrangement.

Next time you're in there, request that they put Mitchell on their Buy list.
It's been a few years, but I always got the best wiring diagrams from Mitchell.
Decades ago they used to be called National Service Data.
