Hi,
Does anyone knows where can I find a manual or an explanation on how
Spectre computes the S parameters of a circuit?
I need to know why GT (transducer gain) is equal to S21 in cadence.
Thanks,
Arik

Hi Arik,
Good to meet you today. Anyway, the definition of what is done is in
<MMSIMinstDir>/doc/spectreRF/spectreRF.pdf (Chapter 20 in my case, called
"Plotting Spectre S-Parameter Simulation Data").
It says that plotting GT from the direct plot form will give |S21|^2 because it
assumes that the source and load reflection coefficients are zero. It gives the
full equation for Transducer Gain in the same section, and if you use the
Calculator to plot GT you should be able to specify the source and load
terminations.
Best Regards,
Andrew.
