I have a set of accutech strain gauge electronic bathroom scales. The lcd
started behaving erratically recently (scales are a several years old). As
a matter of interest I pulled them apart to have a look. The lcd is
connected to the pcb by a clear plastic? film with fourteen carbon? tracks
about 2mm wide. It seems to have been glued to the pcb which has
corresponding copper pads. When I went to replace the pcb in the case I
noticed that the film had completely come away from the pcb.
There seems to be no way to reattach it other than regluing it.
I was thinking super glue but is there a specialised conductive adhesive
which could do the job?
Or some sort of edge connector which could clamp onto the film?

Is scart now defunct? Does new equipment still use it?

You may be able to bodge it up with the conductive paint sold at car parts
shops for repairing rear window demisters.
