I am 'slimming down' my archives and would like to know if anyone
would appreciate any of these old (early 1980 through late
1990s)magazines. Or perhaps there are other libraries / archives that
would be interested.

If anyone has any serious recommendations, please reply (please do not
waste our bandwidth on wisecrack replies).

Thanks,
TomC

Why not put a zip file somewhere and see who loves that?

I have heard from one of the publishers and they are intested for
their archives. If anyone can recommend any archiving organizations,
I can contact them also.

Thanks,

I am in the same situation, but with some 500 SF books I doubt I will
ever read again.

The Feb '98 issue of IEEE Spectrum has a nice piece by Shannon
referenced in it. Nice to see where we are today with interconnect
speeds and ESD abatement too.

ObTrivia: Shannon enjoyed juggling and could ride a unicycle. See links at

Well, most of the pre-1980s classics I read from the library.

I have some Ace doubles in my collection, some may date back into the
1940s i think.
