Fine, you can detect "tramping". So how do you
tell that it was the bad guys and not some kid herding his Daddy's

Send a drone over.
And how does "sending a drone over" tell you about events that happened
hours earlier?  Are you going to "send a drone over" every time a rabbit
runs down the road?

You think a rabbit will have the same footprint as a dozen men?

I think they both trigger your idiotic device and unless you're going
to install software that distinguishes them in the device it's
useless. Transmitting millions of false alarms to a satelite which
can only deal with hundreds (maybe) to tell it to send a drone that we
have limited numbers of is stupid. This is even assuming that
terrorists don't avoid the patently obvious red beams.
Quote:

The satellite system monitors hundreds of thousand of square miles
silently and, with UV or IR lasers, invisibly.
And it finds that, wonder of wonders, there is traffic on roads.

And that there is traffic around mountain caves w/o roads.

Yep, most of it goats. If there is anywhere near the evidence that
a particular place is a likely terrorist hideout any other device
would be better than this hackneyed scheme.
Quote:

The
problem is not determing whether there is traffic but determining which
specific traffic is planning to cause trouble.

You can always buy 400,000 drones.

Which is what your scheme would require.

Once daily is more than good enough to identify which mountaintops are
harboring Al Qaeda terrorists in caves, but that wasn't exactly the
technology intended for enhanced satellite surveillance.

The thread had digressed away from tech issues and the point of that
link was to see if the idle banterer was interested in _anything_ that
had to do with science or technology.

In sharp contrast you seemed to be capable of at least focusing and
commenting on the original idea.

The concept shouldn't be too difficult to understand. Medicine has
been enhancing tumors and whatnot on CAT scans with iodine for some
time.

That 'link' was to a laser distance measuring system for machine

It took you 3 days and 20 lbs of potato chips to figger that out?

That explains why tech discussions piss you off so much.

It's unhealthy.

Maybe in 3 more days he'll figure out what this thread is about . . .

You seem to like to show off your body . . .

Going to the gym doesn't make sense if you are incapacitated by lard
like Rush Limbaugh. Next time you go grocery shopping fill the cart
as usual. Then go to the produce counter and buy some turnip greens.

When you check out leave all the ice cream and and chips and harliquin
romance novels on the tabloid rack and just buy the greens.

Even if you do try to lose weight it'll take you two administrations
to get into shape.

No _wonder_ you can't make any intelligent comments on tech matters!

I can't go to 'the gym' due to the costs. I am a 100% disabled US
Army Veteran who has to use a cane because of a bad knee. That
eliminates a lot of exercises, unless they decide to replace the knee.

You go to the gym to stare at the sweaty body builders, then hurry
home to your girly romance novels.

Shove the turnip greens up your sorry ass, lard ass.

Sigh. I am a type 2 diabetic and my diet is approved by my VA
dietician. You keep harping on ice cream and chips. I just finished a
16 oz. bag I opened three weeks ago. I haven't had ice cream in months,
and on the rare occasion I do buy it, it is no sugar added.

I have been losing weight, while all you ever lose is neurons. Long
before I loose the last few pounds you won't have enough neurons to tell
your heart to beat.

You keep deleting what I post because your tiny mind is constipated.
I have asked questions repeatedly about the design of low noise
telemetry recivers, but you delete them becasue you are too stupid to
even recognize them. I know the subject, becasue it was part of my job.
You keep posting moroninc 'ideas' that anyone with a few months of
electronics training can shoot full of holes.

I think it's time they found new 'Witless Protection Agency' handlers
for you. The ones you have now must be sleeping on the job.
