Maybe, but not what U-Tube puts up next for you to view.

You know, that is mostly based on what they think you will click on. They may not know your name, but they know who you are.

Maybe, but it's hard to see how. I got a lengthy gruesome back-&-white

If you don't have a lot of viewing history, they probably follow-up
violence with violence.

It's impressive how much media (movies, TV, youtube things, games) are
mostly violence and killing and creepy sadists. Entire movies are
mostly fights, with people non-stop getting shot, burned to death,
blown to bits, and falling to their deaths. Of course, the heroes
can't be shot and survive a fall from any height. Hollywood's favorite
prop is the gun.

Most aliens are depicted as vicious ugly drooling killers. Not many
like ET.

Yeah, funny thing about movies and TV, they make the ones that people watch. Who would have expected that?

When Americans fall out of love with their guns and watching violent,
misogynist films the market for that type of film will evaporate and
everyone will be content with G-rated Disney animated pictures

Also not every violent film is pro-violence, "All Quiet on the Western
Front" is a violent novel but could hardly be interpreted as being pro-war.

Sometimes stories have to include the darker parts of human existence or
there's not much of a story to tell, and sometimes audiences
mis-interpret what is intended as "social commentary" as "glorification."

For example the movie "Fight Club" was not intended to glorify macho
tough-stuff violent behavior but some audiences seem to take it that way.

This movie had no violence, and not much action, just a methodical
gathering and examination of its many pieces, preparation, assembly
and testing of the guillotine. I stopped watching before they got
to the event, which was the central item, according to the title.

Hollywood makes more money from the international market, so they go
for universal themes that don't need much of a language or cultural
reference. Hence "action" movies.

CGI monstors are cheaper than big-name actors, too.

perfectly possible for the muscles to tense to such an extent that

pretty swiftly. ;-)

Presumably he'll point a gun at the victim and demand that she strap

The hard part about murder is getting rid of the bodies.

He wants to kill the many women who wouldn't date him. Many.
