Hi ,
i am an electrical engineering doctoral student and am
currently working on subthreshold MOSFET behaviour. as a part of my
research i need to understand the functionality of BSIM models . i
have recently downloaded the source code for BSIM3v3.2.4 from the
berekeley website. i have an usual task at hand , i need to compile
the code and if possible try to understand how the code governs the
actual MOSFET modeling behaviour.
i understand i need to use SPICE3 (spice3e2 or spice3f4) to be
able to compile bsim . i am a tyro at using SPICE , i would really
apprecaite it if someone could guide me as to how to build and compile
the source code using gcc
on SPICE3.

I would suggest you use ngspice from sourceforge instead.
Try <http://www.brorson.com/gEDA/SPICE/simulation.html>
for step-by step instructions.
