Every time I boot up, I get a msg that my Adobe Acrobat Pro v8 has new
updates. How do I get rid of the message?

For XP:
Start > Run > msconfig <CR>
Startup Tab>['Unclick' offending executable(s)]> OK > Restart

I'd consider getting rid of Adobe Acrobat itself; at my previous
workplace I did have to use Windows on a pretty much daily basis and
Foxit Reader can do most of what AA does and it doesn't eat your hard
drive and RAM in the process.

Install the updates, as the message suggests.

If you have questions about Windoze,
why aren't you asking those in a group with *Microsoft* in its name?
....or "Windows"?
....or "Adobe"?
....or "Acrobat"?
....or all 3 of those? news:adobe.acrobat.windows
