Hello All,
This is an open topic about the performances of VSR.
I heard that VSR has a build-in timing engine.
We can extract parasitcs, calculate delays, and then timing analysis.
But this capability has been turned off in IC6.14!
Does someone know why ?
regarding First Encounter or VSR , which one is the best ?
My guess is FE is better, but costly !
I don't really know all the First Encounter features, but do you think
VSR can replace FE ?
Thanks a lot for your ideas !
best,
bubu

This is a misunderstanding of the reality. VSR shares code with another
project with has such things, but those were never integrated in VSR and so
are not turned off.

For which purpose? The two tools don't do the same things. If you need
the presence of a timing engine, VSR is indeed not for you.

Not without a lot of work. The converse (FE replacing VSR) is also not
possible without a lot of work.
