Hello All,
I am hitting a very strange issue with Design Compiler. I am trying to
synthesize some of the ITC99 benchmarks. However for the bigger
circuits which have arithmetic operations, DC instantiates datapath
blocks. This can be overridden by setting the compile variable
hlo_disable_datapath_optimization to true. This variable is however not
available in dc_shell. It is available if DC is invoked in tcl mode as
dc_shell-t. However dc_shell-t does not support the PROCESS vhdl
construct.
I am therefore completely confused as to what could be a possible
solution to this issue.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me, please!

Thanks,
Fazela

First of all, DC is supporting VHDL and all its constructs.
Second of all, contact Synopsys support team or read SOLD/Solvnet.
